With excellent links to London, all main airports and rail stations, Oxford is an easily accessible destination for both UK and international delegates.

  • By train – up to four direct services an hour from London Paddington to the centre of Oxford using Great Western Railway or alternatively from London Marylebone using Chiltern Railway. The journey takes from 1 hour.
  • By air – Delegates arriving at either London Heathrow or London Gatwick can take the Airline coach service directly to Oxford.  The service runs 24 hours, 7 days a week. It is 90 minutes from Heathrow and 2 – 2.5 hours from Gatwick.
  • By bus – The Oxford Bus Company’s X90 serviceis 24 hour, 7 days a week luxury coach network linking Oxford and London with departures up to every 15 minutes at peak times.
  • By car – there is no car parking available on campus and parking in Oxford is very restricted. There is a park and ride service and details of city centre car parks are here.

Buses from the railway station and around Oxford:

280 – Board at stop R5 just outside the railway station. This service runs every 15minutes.

U1 (BROOKESBus towards Wheatley Campus (via Headington)) –Board at R7 on Frideswide Square outside Said Business School. This service runs every 30 minutes.

400 (P&R towards Thornhill P&R) – Board at R7 on Frideswide Square outside Said Business School. This service runs every 11-14 minutes (10:11, 10:22, 10:34, 10:46, 10:58 etc.)

Oxford PICKMEUP – this is an App based ride-sharing mini bus service and so anyone using it will be travelling with other members of the public, and the bus driver will find the most convenient route to drop people off along the journey. Details here.
